   The Juvenile Welfare Board of Pinellas County (JWB) proudly invests in Family Center on Deafness, one of 53 nonprofit agencies and 82 quality programs funded by JWB last year, strengthening the lives of 70,000 children and their families. For 75 years, JWB has been making children a priority by investing in their futures and making our community stronger. As a countywide special taxing district established by a Special Act of the Florida Legislature, JWB is governed by an 11-member Board that guides citizen investments to ensure children are ready to learn, ready to succeed, and ready to thrive in homes, schools, and neighborhoods that are healthy and safe. JWB also works collectively with partners to feed hungry children, help ensure on-time grade-level reading, and prevent needless childhood deaths.
